Obituary of Edna Ida Alice Simpson

SIMPSON, Edna Ida (nee Steggles)
February 1, 1924 - July 2, 2023
 
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mom, grandma and great grandma, Edna, at the Helen Henderson Care Centre, Amherstview, in her 100th year.
 
Edna, beloved wife of the late Bernard Simpson. Loving mom of Robert Simpson and his wife Rosalia of Mexico and Linda Wilson and her husband John of Amherstview. Cherished grandma of Veronica and her husband Shawn, Ron and his wife Lisa and Robert and his wife Anna and great grandma of Juliana, Aidan, Christina, Ella, Jenna and John. Sister of Eddie Bruce and Arthur Steggles.
 
Edna had many jobs throughout her life but the one she was most remembered for was being the co-owner, with her husband Bernard, of the Millhaven Grocery Store. Still to this day people remember her serving and helping customers making them feel welcome daily.
 
In keeping with Edna’s wishes cremation has taken place, there will be no visitation or service.
