KELLY, Joseph Edward

1937 - 2020

Passed at his residence in Kingston with his loving wife and daughter at his side, on Thursday, June 25, 2020, in his 83rd year.

Beloved husband of Laurette (neé Lavoie) for 54 years. Dear father of Kathy Hoover (Kevin), and Joseph Michael Kelly (Colleen Peterson). Cherished poppy of Kirsten and Kole. Survived by his sisters Pat Pender, Sharron Johnston (David), and brother-in-law Ed Lavoie, predeceased his sister Peggy Ness. He will always be remembered by his many nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.

Joseph was a Master Warrant Officer in the RCAF for 35 years.

Your loss is painful, yet also strangely reaffirming because it has made us ever more aware of the rewards of our wonderful relationship. We think of the legacy you left - a curiosity about life, a hunger for knowledge, a passion for humor, the importance of saving money, a sense that anything is possible if you work hard, how important family and friends are, and a model of what a father/husband should be.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 25, 2023 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm in the Celebration Centre of the James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Blvd., Kingston (please enter from the rear parking lot doors).
