Clazien Cumpson

Born on November 27, 1931, in Pynacker, Netherlands, Clazien passed away peacefully in her 92nd year on Thursday May 18, 2023, at Fairmount Home, Glenburnie, Ontario.

Devoted wife of the late Clifford Cumpson and loving mother to Winfield Cumpson (Wilma), Orrie Cumpson (Andrea), Diane Hicks (Jim), Nancy Hicks (Neil) and Cindy Gordon (Gary).

Fondly remembered by grandchildren Dawn Cordeiro (Mike), Ryan Hicks (Kelly), Brenden Hicks (Brittany), Emily Bobbett (James), the late Jeremy Hicks, Charlie Cumpson (Hailey), Lindsay Prentice (Caleb), Ben Gordon (Kaitlyn) and 11 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Clazien is survived by her sister Riet Oomen (late Peter), Leen Sonneveld (late Marie), Fred Sonneveld (Cathy), Orrie Sonneveld (Debbie), Fia Smallegagne (late Frank), Willa Fretts (David), predeceased by her brother Joe Sonneveld (late Ria), Bill Sonneveld (late Connie), Kees Sonneveld (late Claudia) and her parents Cornelius and Aafjie Sonneveld nee Westerman.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Fairmount Home for the care and compassion given to Clazien during her time there.

A private family service will be held at Inverary United Church.
