Obituary of Doris Eves

Eves, Doris Ellen (nee Ellerbeck) - Born on January 11, 1924, in Glenvale, Ontario, Doris passed away peacefully in her 100th year on Monday, May 15, 2023 at Trillium Retirement and Care Community in Kingston, Ontario.

Devoted wife of the late Roy Eves (1994) and mother to the late Elizabeth MacKinnon (2019) (Steve), Beverley Eves, the late Janette Maguire (2021) and Kerry Eves.

Fondly remembered by grandchildren Erin MacArthur, Meghan MacKinnon, Ryanne Frost, David Frost, Cassandra Maguire, Douglas Maguire, Chelsea Daniels, Kelly Maguire and 10 great-grandchildren.

Doris is survived by her brother Clare Ellerbeck (Beryl) and sister-in-law Norma Griffiths as well as several nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her sisters Eunice Smith (late Don), Janet Jackson (late Ken) and brother Jim Ellerbeck (late Virginia) and her parents Russell and Martha Ellerbeck (nee Arthur).

The family wishes to thank Trillium Care Community and the staff of Cottage House for the care and compassion given to Doris. As per her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will be held at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations in Doris’ memory can be made to a local charity of your choice.
