Obituary of Laurie Bartley
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Laurie Elizabeth Bartley on April 23rd, 2023 at Kingston General Hospital, at the age of 60. Laurie was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Laurie was the daughter of Gordon Bartley and Laura Hart. She was born in Belleville, Ont. Laurie is predeceased by her brother Laverne. She lives on through her daughters Hope Alberry, and Celeste Lai (Cae-Jay) her grandsons Warren and Ozwin. As well as her son Keith, his wife and two children.
She was a member of Kingston Gospel Temple. She loved to craft and crochet as well as snuggles from her cat Fred. She was always ready with a joke and a smile that lit up a room. Laurie enjoyed spending as much time as she could with her grandsons.
Laurie will be remembered for her warmth, kindness and gentle spirit. She touched the lives of many people and leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will endure for generations. She will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, her many friends and colleagues.
The family would like to extend a special Thank You to the amazing staff at Kingston General Hospital, Kidd 4, Davies 4 and the ICU teams. They are grateful for your kindness and exceptional care.
A celebration of Laurie's life will be held at Kingston Gospel Temple on May 6th, 2023 at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Lionhearts Inc. in Laurie's memory.
