Hazel “Woody” Widdop

Surrounded by the love of her daughters, Hazel peacefully passed away at her home on Saturday, May 23, 2020, at the age of 79.  Hazel was predeceased by her beloved husband Jack.  She will be lovingly remembered by her children Kelly (Baby), Julie, Joe (Jane), David (Heather), and Russell and was predeceased by her loving children Kathy, Anita, Neil and Lee Roy.  Treasured grandmother of Drew and Matt, Kyle and John-Luke, Michaela, Donna and Connor, Krystle and Chantelle, and Chris, Ashley, Katelyn and Craig and adoring great-grandmother of Alex, Jordyn, Teah, Corey, Brantley, Faith, Riley, Haley, Dylan and Paisley.  Hazel was also predeceased by her brothers Roy and Terry and sisters Connie and Jean.  Hazel was known for her laughter and her sense of humour she will be greatly missed by Tiger and Marc, her nieces and nephews and her many great friends. 

A heart felt thank you is extended to Hazel’s Home Care “Angels”; Corrine, Beth, Sarah, Tammy, “Margarita”, and her niece Antoinette for the excellent care that she received, allowing her to stay in her own home until the end.

In keeping with Hazel’s wishes cremation has taken place.  A celebration of her life will be held at a later date once the COVID restrictions have been lifted.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Hazel’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
