With great sadness in our hearts we announce, that with her family by her side, Thea Robinson passed away at the age of 86, peacefully at home. Beloved wife of the late Montague John Robinson. Cherished mother of Robert (Patricia), Carl and Helen (Stephen MacCharles). Daughter of the late Karl and Maria Schröter. Dear sister of Edda Simon (late Jurgen) and the late Hermann Schröter (Renate). Doting grandmother to Alec Robinson and Hayley MacCharles. Step grandmother to Lauren Poel (Thomas), Alisha, Brianna and Colin Puigmarti. Step great grandmother to Gabriel Poel.
Born in Esperstedt, Germany after apprenticing as a dress maker, Thea moved to London England at the age of 18 to be an Au Pair, where she later met and married the love of her life, Monty. With three young children the family moved to Burlington, Ontario, where she became a bookkeeper and manager at the local Foodland. As the daughter of a master carpenter, Thea had many skills from fine dressmaking to house building. She was hard-working and selfless to a fault, and will be greatly missed by her family.
A private funeral will be held for the family with interment at Woodlands Cemetery in Burlington. In lieu of flowers donations to the Kingston Humane Society would be appreciated.
