Obituary of Patricia Maximchuk

Patricia Ellen Ann Maximchuk (nee Fisher)

March 5, 1938 - February 28, 2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia (Pat) Maximchuk. A beautiful lady, inside and out. Pat’s smile and wonderful sense of humour will be missed.

Pat was born to the late Catherine and James Fisher on March 5, 1938 in her beloved Kenora, Ontario. She was predeceased in 2017 by her husband of 42 years, David, and in 1970 by her young son, Mark Monette. Pat is survived by her three children, Maria Quibell (nee Monette) (Ross), Jim Monette (Heather) and Rhonda Monette; granddaughters Teri (Alex), Jen (Tyler) and Kristen; great-grandsons Aiden, Jack and Colton and great-granddaughter Zoe. Pat is also deeply missed by her sister Doreen, brother Ted (Sharon) and sister Cathy (Keith), and her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

While living on Coney Island on beautiful Lake of the Woods, Pat taught her children to appreciate nature and it was her love of that lake life which years later brought her and David to build an amazing home on Buck Lake near Kingston, Ontario.

The family would like to thank the staff at Kingsdale Chateau, St. Elizabeth Health Care and the Kingston General Hospital for their compassion and extraordinary care of Pat.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
