Obituary of Tanis Lynne Purvis

PURVIS, Tanis Lynne

It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Tanis Lynne Purvis (nee Oatway), 46, of Amherstview, Ontario, on February 5th, 2023 at Providence Care Hospital.

Tanis was born in Kingston, Ontario to Robert (Bob) and Barbara Oatway on September 26th, 1976. She attended La Salle Secondary School, graduating in 1994. Tanis went on to earn a diploma in 1996, in Law and Security Administration from Loyalist College. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, was an avid gardener and devoted pet lover.

She is survived by her husband Rob Purvis, stepchildren Tyson, Camryn and Ryder, brother Robert Oatway (Jessie), parents Robert and Barbara Oatway and nieces Isla and Brea Oatway. She will be missed by many close family members and friends. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the amazing staff at Kingston General Hospital and Providence Care Hospital.

A private family service will take place on Friday, March 10th at the Cataraqui Cemetery.

Tanis' extended family and friends are invited to her celebration of life to take place at the MacKinnon Brothers Brewing Company (Bath, Ontario) on Sunday, March 12th, from 6:30pm - 10:30pm.
