Obituary of Mabel Moyles

 Moyles, Edith Mabel (nee Fisher)

September 14, 1938 - January 25, 2023

Mabel passed away peacefully at Extendicare Kingston on January 25th, at the age of 84. Predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Ivan James Moyles of Newfoundland, and parents Lesley and Sarah Fisher of Saskatchewan. Survived by her brother Percy (Beverly) Fisher. Sadly missed by her son Wallace and daughter-in-law Jennifer, and two grandsons, Connor and Cody, who were her pride and joy. She will be fondly remembered by her friends and extended family across Canada.

Mabel was proud of her prairie roots, and enjoyed living in various parts of the world as Ivan served in the Canadian military. They settled in Kingston when Wally was young and she worked for Woolworth, Woolco, and Walmart before a well deserved retirement. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, fishing, camping, listening to Sunday Country by request, and most of all spending time with family who she loved dearly and were a great source of pride for her.

A memorial will be held in the spring, where Mabel will be laid to rest along side her beloved husband Ivan, in the Beechwood National Cemetery in Ottawa.

The family would like to thank the many caregivers and staff at Extendicare Kingston for their loving and compassionate care of Mabel over the past 18 months.
