It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Bill, dedicated and loving husband of Lynda Russell. Cherished Father of Laurie Monds (Hugh) and Terry Ball (Penny). Grandpa to David Monds (Erin), Travis Monds (Emily), and Sean Ball (Rita). Great Grandfather, Poppa Bill, to Ethan, Colton and Mackenzie Monds. Brother of the late Gerald Ball (Marie), Marlene Dobson (late Ron), John Ball (Beth), Garnet Ball (Joanna) and Garfield Ball (Sue). Brother-in-law of Louise and Chuck Smith and Don and Monique Russell. Sadly, missed by many nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to staff at KGH Emergency and Providence Care Palliative Unit for their compassionate care and kindness. Appreciation is extended to the staff and residents of the Waterford Retirement Home for their support at this difficult time.
In keeping with Bill’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Blvd., on Monday, January 30, 2023 from 10:00 am – 11:50 am, with a celebration of his life to follow at 12:00 pm. The Venerable Bill Clarke to officiate. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Alzheimer Society of Kingston (4-400 Elliott Ave., Kingston, K7K 6M9) or the charity of your choice.
