Passed away peacefully at home on January 15,2023. Devoted husband, and best friend of Arja Makinen, loving father of Kaarina Levac (Roch) and Ari Makinen, and a proud grandfather of Ryan, Jacob, and Kyle. He will be missed by other family and friends from Canada, United States, and Finland. Also missed by his little fur baby Dottie. Pertti was a modest man who enjoyed the simple things in life. He hated to be the centre of attention but had the biggest heart and was always there to lend a helping hand. He loved to spend time in the garden where he grew the most amazing vegetables! He loved the outdoors and it was there the artist in him often found the inspiration for the many beautiful paintings he created. But his greatest joy, was his family. Together with his wife of almost 60 years they built a loving home for their family. A special place where their children, grandchildren and friends would always feel welcomed and loved unconditionally. There will be no visitation, cremation has already taken place with a private graveside service later.
