Obituary of Frederick Compton

Compton, Frederick Andrew - Fred passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, January 14, 2023 after a battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife Nicole (nee Boutin) of 52 years, son Michael and golden retriever Cricket. He also leaves behind his sisters Barbara Nayler (Hugh) and Dianne Wylie (Mike Flieger) and their families. Fred will be missed by his sister-in-law Julie Matias (Joe). Joe was the brother he never had. He was predeceased by his parents Murray and Joan Compton (nee Cable) and his brothers-in-law William Wylie and Danny Boutin and sister-in-law Anne Smith (nee Boutin). There will be a graveside service for Fred on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at 10:30 am at Cataraqui Cemetery. Those wishing to attend, please meet at James Reid Funeral Home by 10:15am to process to the grave. Donations can be made to UHKF - Cancer Centre or to Heart and Stroke Foundation
