It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Daniel Kenneth Vance (Danny), 61 of Kingston, ON. On January 10th 2023 in the comfort of his own home. Dan was born in Toronto, ON at St. Michael’s Hospital, to Isabel (Smith) and Kenneth (Vance) on March 8th 1961. At a young age he found a love for taking cars apart and putting them back together. After graduating high school he joined the military, and became a mechanic where he thrived. It was there he met his wife of many years, Liliane. Once married they travelled to many places including Cyprus, Germany and Paris. After years in the military he chose to retire in 2003. His passions were working on his many cars, racing his black widow, taking his kids for rides around the tracks, riding his motorcycles around town and helping his friends work on their old cars. He is survived by his son Nicholas Vance his daughter Rhonda Vance (Cole M), his brothers Darryl Vance (Tanya, Ryan, Mason) of Thunder Bay and Darren Vance (Isabella) of South Carolina. He is predeceased by his loving wife Liliane Vance and mother Isabel Smith. Funeral will be held at James Reid Funeral Home (1900 John Counter Blvd.) on Friday, January 20th 2023 at 1:30pm. Visitation and viewing will be held on Thursday, January 19th 2023 from 2-5 pm. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or The Waramps.
