Rememberances” from Bob Mahoney: Hutchie was one of the best human beings I have ever known. He has been my dear friend since I met him in 1959. We built a hunt camp, hunted & partied together.
My job took me away from Kingston for 33 years, during which we still kept in touch.
When Wanda & I returned in 2001 Hutch & Marg welcomed us home. We were in desperate need of a deck at our new house and he & Terry came to the rescue. It meant the world to us that they would help us out.
We went on one of our best vacations ever to Cuba with Don & Marg. The sun shawn every day and we all swam with the dolphins. We travelled together to Collingwood to see the Elvis Impersonators where Hutchie introduced us to his cousin & best friend Carl. It didn’t matter where we travelled Hutchie would meet someone he knew or was related to! Don was at home talking to the elite or the downtrodden. They were all equal in his eyes.
While Don was still able, we would meet with he & Marg for par 3 golf & lunch weekly. We had a wonderful time.
With his big heart, Don truly loved his Marg, his children and grandchildren.
Hutch was a true gentleman and gentle man.
He could never, and will never be forgotten.
Maggie, our loving thoughts are with you, and all your family.
Love Bob and Wanda
