Obituary of Ted Roddy

RODDY, Timothy James “Ted”

December 10, 1937 – January 6, 2023

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce that Ted lost his battle with ALS, with his loving family by his side. Ted will be profoundly missed by his wife, Joyce, the love of his life and best friend for 61 years. Loving father of Jeff (Paula), Ted, Kirk (Mark) and proud grandfather of Ashley, Jessica, Chad and Abigail.  Dear brother of Gary, Shirley Gonu, and Norma Babcock and he will be missed by his extended family and all his friends.

Ted was an electrician by trade, but he could fix anything, and many family members, friends and neighbours were the beneficiary of his knowledge and humour as he helped many around their homes. He loved to hunt and fish and truly loved the outdoors.

A heartfelt thank you is expressed to the staff of the PCH, Transitional Care Unit (St. Mary’s Hospital) for the wonderful and compassionate care that Ted received. Your kindness will never be forgotten.

In keeping with Ted’s wishes cremation will be immediate, a celebration of his life will be held at a later date. For those who wish, donations may be made to the ALS Society in Ted’s memory.
