It is with deepest sadness that we announce the passing of C. Joanne Preston on May 14, 2020 days after her 85 th birthday. Beloved wife of Robert Preston, her best friend and soul mate for 65 years.Joanne was born and educated in Fredericton, NB. She moved to Montreal, worked at Navel Engineering Test Establishment and spent the last 37 years in Kingston Ontario. She will be forever remembered for her passion and love for animals, especially cats. She embraced adventure, taking the road less travelled to the same destinations for years. "It's not about the destination, it's about the journey". Joanne and her husband, Robert spent many hours taking in the scenery of backroads, quiet countryside travelling to Fawn Lake and favourite destinations on numerous road trips together. Joanne's love for her home, was apparent to all, whether at the lake or in the city. She always had a generous meal on her large harvest table for visiting family to eat for hours while catching up with one another. Joanne will be greatly missed by her surviving family throughout New Brunswick, Ontario and Quebec. She had a beautiful smile and glimmer in her eye. We are so blessed to have all the wonderful memories that you gave us. "Oh go on!"
