Obituary of Vernon Sands

Sands, Vernon Fenwick - It is with deep sorrow that the family of Vernon Fenwick Sands announce his passing on Monday, January 2, 2023, at the age of 83 at Kingston General Hospital. He leaves behind his beloved wife Irene (nee Fowler), his children Angela (Patrick), Lyndon (Dayna), Tracey, Julie (Dave) and Patti (John). Lovingly remembered by grandchildren June (Spencer), Chelsy, Alyssa, Katie, Jessica (Aaron), Jennifer (Jude), James, Samantha (Patrick), Liam (Jada) and great-granddaughters Sadie and Chloe. Fondly remembered by his sisters Anne Mitchell (Alex), and Marlene Rogers (Bill), and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Vernon (Duke) and Susan (nee Burtch), brothers Thomas and Gregory (Bud). Vernon was a carpenter by trade, picked up many crafts and painting in his later years, and left many of us with treasured pieces of art, furniture, and fond memories.

Vernon’s family would like to thank all the wonderful caregivers and healthcare professionals that have assisted dad over the last several months. This includes, Countryview Retirement Home, Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital, Helen Henderson Care Center and KGH.
