Obituary of Beverley Winnifred Dickison

DICKISON, Beverley Winnifred

(nee Cummings)

The heart of our family, Bev passed away on Dec. 29, 2022.

Bev was faithfully devoted to Bill, the love of her life, for 49 happy years and every day after he passed away in 2009.

Daughter of the late Delmar and Alma Cummings of Richmond, ON.  Sister to the late Bruce, and “little brother” Brian Schultz.  Sister-in-law to dear friends Tom & the late Anne and Corky & Jim Agnew.  Aunt to Marcia, Ian, Bruce, Jimmy, Connie, Alison, Scott and Colleen.

Bev delighted in loving her children Cam, Chuck (Michelle) and Sherri (the late Peter), and cherished her unique relationship with each of her seven grandchildren Caitlyn, Carly, Chelsey, Mikaela, Claire, Stephanie and Liam, and great-grandchildren Harper and Janson.  Bev and Bill’s home was truly the centre of our lives, always filled with love and laughter.

Bev treasured her friendships with Marilyn, Alice, Nancy, her late cousin Dawn, Iris, the late June, Florrie, Ruthie, Dorothy (Dot) and nursing classmates and coworkers.  She was grateful for her caring neighbours of 52 years and the kind staff of St. Lawrence Pools.

Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Laura McKinnon, Dr. Timothy Owen, RN Jen Deline, Dr. Sergiy Shatenko, Dr. Jeffrey Yach, Dr. Daenis Camire, the emergency department and all the staff at KGH and James Reid Funeral Home for their genuine care and support.  In lieu of flowers, donations to UHKF-Cancer Clinic will be appreciated.

In her humble way, Bev requested that funeral services not be held for her.  Please remember her tender, compassionate and generous spirit over a cup of coffee or a walk in the park, and recall, as Bev often did, “What a wonderful world we live in.
