Obituary of Germana Almeida

Almeida, Germana (nee Da Silva) – Peacefully at Arbour Heights LTC on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at the age of 87. Predeceased by her parents Jose and Maria Da Silva and just recently in September by her husband Denis Almeida. Also predeceased by three of her siblings.

Germana will be dearly missed by her daughter Laura Lyman (Eric) and her son Lloyd (Penny). Devoted grandmother (vavo) of Troy (Silvia) and Cassandra. Beloved great-grandmother of Diego and Matteo. She is survived by a brother and sister as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to sincerely thank the staff at Arbour Heights for the many years of compassionate care Germana and Denis received while residing there.

The family will receive friends at the James Reid Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 from 10:00 - 10:50 am followed by a Liturgy of the Word in the Chapel at 11:00 am. Entombment to follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Donations in Germana’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by her family.
