Obituary of Judith Lynn Shogren
JUDITH LYNN SHOGREN (FOSTER)
October 22, 1937 – December 16, 2022
Judy Shogren passed away peacefully on Friday, December 16, 2022, surrounded by her family at Kingston Health Science Centre, at the age of 85.
Judy was predeceased by her husband Mel, her father Dr. Ralph Foster, her mother Orma Foster, and her sister Patsy Anderson.
Judy is survived by her sons Kevin (Tina) of Kingston and Derek (Lynn) of North Bay, her granddaughters Courtney (Dan), Chelsea (Brandon) and Brooke, her great-granddaughters Rory, Quinn, and Wren and her great-grandson Miles.
Judy was and remained a strong independent woman through to the end of her life. She always made her own decisions as to how she was going to live her life. Judy suffered no fools; she was straightforward and brutally honest with friends and family alike. Yet, remained fiercely protective of those closest to her. She was generous to a fault, always feeling others needed so much more than she did. Judy was a tireless volunteer throughout her life and major contributor to charities/causes that emboldened others. As the family Matriarch she instilled pride, confidence, courage and sage advice over the course of her lifetime. She will be sadly missed by so many. A void has been left in the hearts of all of us who had the good fortune to have her in our lives.
As per Judy’s wishes cremation has taken place and a private family celebration of Judy’s life will take place at a later date.
