Logsdail, Douglas Edward On November 18th 2022 Douglas Edward Logsdail of Kingston, Ontario ascended to heaven at age of 93. Beloved husband of 69 years to Barbara (Tucker) Logsdail of Kingston, father of Dr. Kathryn (Logsdail) Downer and her husband Hansen Downer of Kingston and Big Rideau Lake; father of Richard Logsdail and his wife Renae Logsdail of Augusta, Georgia and Big Rideau Lake; grandfather of Ashley Logsdail and great grandfather of Brooklyn Logsdail of Westminster, Maryland; grandfather of Jeffrey Logsdail and wife Stacey Logsdail and great grandfather of Rylie Logsdail of Westminster, Maryland, grandfather to Michael Downer and wife Lauren Downer, and great grandfather of Cohen and Brayden Downer of Atlanta, Georgia, and grandfather to Karissa Downer of New York City, New York. Defining a life well lived, our father lived his life to fullest. An exceptional career from college physics professor to leading Industry executive with global reach our father traveled the world with Barbara, the love of his life. With wit, wisdom, a tender heart and firm values, our father had extraordinary friendships around the world that sustained his whole life. The family wishes to extend our deepest gratitude to the wonderful staff and caregivers at Arbor Heights and Kingsdale Chateau in Kingston. We know our father is at rest in heaven, God told him it was “a gimmie”. A celebration of Doug’s life will take place in the James Reid Celebration Centre, 1900 John Counter Blvd (please enter from the rear parking lot) on Wednesday, December 28 from 2-4 pm. Memorial donations, for those wishing, may be made in Douglas Logsdail memory, to University Hospitals Kingston Foundation.
