Obituary of Jean Chapman

Jean Chapman (nee Porter)

Our beloved Mother, peacefully passed away at her home on Saturday, November 19, 2022, in her 102nd year. Gone home to be with her husband Jack (2000) and son Bruce (2014). Loving mother of Sylvia Heaysman (Gerry), Terry (Sandy), Rick (Sharon), Chris (Kathleen) and Anne Post (Bruce). Fondly remembered by her grandchildren: Colleen, Leslie, Melissa, Kaitlyn, Amanda, Bailey, Mallory, Cheralyn and Jonathan, 11 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Nancy McMaster, aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Henry Langley Spicer Porter and Irene Florence “Flo” Roberts and sisters Betty Louise Ardenne, Eleanor Law, Marnie Santos and brother William Langley Porter.

Sincere thanks to all the medical staff who helped our mother fulfill her wishes of staying in her home.

Resting at the James Reid Funeral Home (1900 John Counter Blvd). Friends will be received on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm as well as on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 from 11:00 to 11:50 am. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at noon. Interment at Cataraqui Cemetery to follow. Reverend Doctor Mike Michielin officiating.
