Obituary of Leona Kellar

Kellar, Leona Marie Rose (Brown) March 31, 1925 - November 16, 2022 Peacefully at Providence Manor on Wednesday, November 16, 2022. Leona was much loved and will be greatly missed by her brother Robert Brown, niece Susan Elliott (Ron), nephew Robert Brown Jr., great nieces Steacy and Nicole Tozer and their families, as well as numerous nieces and nephews in Quebec and Ontario and her church family at Calvary Bible church. She is predeceased by her husband Sherman, infant son Douglas, father and mother Edgar and Eva Brown, sister Bessie Brown, brothers Raymond and Roland Brown and great-niece Lacey Brown. Leona grew up in Masonville Quebec and at age 18 enlisted in the Canadian Army where she served in World War II. This is where she met her husband who was a sargent in the army. When the war ended Leona and Sherman settled in Kingston and raised her youngest brother Robert. Leona loved her family dearly and was always very supportive of them. Family would like to thank the staff at Providence Manor, especially Montreal 3 for the care they gave to Leona over the past 7 years. Memorial service to be arranged at a later date and interment at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations to The Canadian Cancer Society, Ontario Heart Foundation or Calvary Bible Church, 395 Nelson Street. We love you Omi - until we meet again. RIP your work here is done.
