'Uncle Bud' was also a name adopted within the family which I personally feel was an extension of our feelings and admiration. If I may, I would like to include myself in all the good testimonials written so far from immediate family and friends of, also, similar reply-testimonials from my personal friends whom I had forwarded Bud's obituary to.
On a personal note, a brother-in-law, a best friend, HIS friendship, now a memory, I always have and always will cherish. Our relationship beyond family included the working world; landscaping in Ottawa, import/export Montreal airport, logistics Kingston ... all of which I owe to Bud & Sister so much and beyond.
So, beyond that, as a further gesture of my appreciation I always appreciated Bud's sense of humor and unknowingly His level of 'fear', so, I took him 'flying', hence the quotation, "we've lost an engine", (although we only had the one), now THAT'S were a sense of humor helps, right Sean? Or, maybe it was the time I proved to Bud, that yes, you can do 50mph on a ATV trail! ... Looking back I now realize I survived Bud's emotions because after all, I'm his brother-in-law too! ... right?
With all emotions aside and if I may include ... Bud, "if God is what they say he is, you have earned his respect.
And, respectfully yours, (Uncle) Richard
