Obituary of Stuart Crawford

CRAWFORD, F. Stuart
1922 - 2022

Stu passed away peacefully at the Windsor Retirement Residence on Monday, November 7, 2022, in his 101st year. Stu was the loving husband of Mary for 66 years.  He was predeceased by his son Douglas and is survived by his numerous nieces and nephews and their families. A special thank you is extended to the staff of the Bayshore T.C.U. for the wonderful care that Stu and his family have received.

Stu was a veteran of WW II, and the Circulation Manager at the Kingston Whig Standard before retirement. Sports were an important part of his life. He was involved with Queen’s Hockey, and was an avid skier and skater. He was also a board member of the Kingston Sports Hall of Fame.

Friends will be received at the James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Blvd., Kingston, on Friday, November 11, 2022 from 1:00 pm - 1:50 pm, followed by the funeral service in the Chapel at 2:00 pm.  Rev. Dr. Drew Strickland to officiate.  Interment at Cataraqui Cemetery. For those who wish, donations in Stu’s memory may be made to the UHKF (Cancer Center of Southeastern Ontario)
