Obituary of Ilona Ahrens

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Ilona Ahrens on October 6th, 2022, in her 96th year.

She is predeceased by her loving husband Herbert Ahrens of 50 years. Ilona is lovingly remembered by her son Rainhard and daughter-in-law Tasmin. “Grandma” to Simon, Mary, and Peyman. “Mom” to Mark and Christine.

A very special thank you to all of Ilona’s friends, neighbors, and long-time companion/friend Josie. She will be fondly missed by all her friends and fellow players at the Kingston Duplicate Bridge Club.

At her request, no services will be held. All donations may be made to the Kingston Humane Society.
