Obituary of Betty Snider

SNIDER, Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Ingram
October 23, 1924-September 30, 2022

Betty Snider, peacefully at Kingston General Hospital on September 30, 2022. Eldest daughter of Robert Ingram and Esther Gascoyne, loving mother of Douglas Allan (Rexine), Barbara Allan (Wayne Oakley) and Robert Allan (Marlene). Grandmother to Saxon Allan, Meagan Harris(Marcus) and Sean Allan (Megan). Great grandmother to Jillian, William, Isaac, Parker, Isabelle, Nora, Audrey, Amelia, Vivian and Frances. Great great grandmother to Aidah. Betty will be sadly missed by her sister Suzanne Bard and by Cheryl Allan. She was predeceased by brother, Douglas Ingram, sisters Joan Weedon and Patricia Hooper, husband Bruce Allan and husband Edward Snider. 

Betty was a graduate of University of Toronto‘s Victoria College in 1945 and was a lifetime member of the Canadian Federation of University Women. She was an avid artist who loved all things beautiful. A lifelong believer in giving back to community, she spent many happy years as a docent at the Montreal Museum of Archaeology & History. She always loved being outdoors in nature and her gardens and instilled those passions in her children and grandchildren.
