Obituary of Nilla Mussio

MUSSIO, Nilla
It is with true sadness that we share the news with family and friends of the passing of Nilla Mussio in her 93rd year on Tuesday, May 5, 2020. Nilla (nee Bertoia), was born in San Lorenzo, Udine, Italy, daughter of Lindo and Regina Bertoia.  Wife of the late Ricci Mussio.  Loving mother of sons, Tino (Cindy) and Larry (Sandra). She was the caring Nonna of Jesse (Sian), Stephanie (Matthew), Celeste (Wes) and Mark (Jill) and Bis Nonna of Lucienne, Merritt, Alexandra, Mikayla, Finley and Luca.  Loving sister of (late) Valini, (late) Anna, Maria, (late) Peter, Felicita, Linda and (late) Romano.  She is fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Our memories of Nilla are highlighted by so many happy times around the dining table enjoying her remarkable meals. The support of her sister Felicita Bagnariol contributed to Nilla's wellbeing in her final years and no amount of thanks can ever repay her kindness.  The Mussio family wishes to thank the staff of the Kingsbridge Retirement Community, especially the 2nd floor nursing staff, as well as those at the Royale Place Retirement Residence for their loving care and kindness.
Due to the current public health situation, a private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.  As expressions of sympathy, donations to the St. Vincent de Paul or Salvation Army Food Banks in Kingston, Ontario would be appreciated, especially in this time of great need.
