Obituary of Robert Brough
BROUGH, Jack Robert
The family of Jack Robert Brough sadly announce his quiet passing after months of declining health on Saturday, August 13th, 2022 at the Windsor Bayshore TCU.
Robert, a resident of Kingston, Ontario is survived by his beloved “GJ” (Gloria Jean), her daughter Margaret-Jean (Alex), his eldest son Martin LeRoy (Betty), Martin’s sister Beverly Lorraine (Fred), his younger son Todd Robert (Tina) and Todd’s sister Brenda Lee Denise (Noel) as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Born in Picton on September 20, 1933, he was predeceased by his father, Percy LeRoy Brough, and his mother, Nina Myrtle Brough (nee Welsh) and his only sibling, Rexford LeRoy Brough.
He began his life’s career by learning to fly at the Picton Flying Club. Later he earned his Rotary Wing licence in Niagara Falls. He embraced the helicopter industry and became a highly regarded and respected pilot, instructor, operations manager (Universal Helicopters Newfoundland and Labrador) and owner of other aviation related companies.
With a quiet demeaner and mischievous smile he followed his deeply engrained entrepreneurial spirit throughout. A tall man with a gentle manner, he is lovingly remembered.
Many thanks to the very special family of caregivers for Robert at the Windsor Bayshore TCU these past months.
As he wished, cremation has taken place and interment will be in Prince Edward County at a later date. A gathering for remembrance by friends and relatives will also occur at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre would be welcomed.
