Obituary of Thomas Henry Mentrak

Mentrak, Thomas Henry – Peacefully at home in Kingston on Thursday, June 16, 2022 with family by his side after a lengthy illness. Predeceased by his beloved wife Susan Waywell in 2020.

Thomas will be deeply missed by his children Nadine Adam (Normand), Kristin Altier (Michael), Marlene Belge (Larry), Jessica Cumber (Jeff), Tiffany Weaver (Doug), Marcjanna Mentrak and stepson Stephen Waywell (Muriel). Devoted brother of Karen Firnstein and half-brother of Jozefa Hernon (Donogh) and Henry Mentrak (Susan). Proud grandfather of 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Thomas was a great lover of hockey and was active both as a coach and player until his final months. The friendships he made along the way meant the world to him. He will always be remembered for his great sense of humour and his love of music.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the James Reid Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
