Obituary of Ronald Wayne Green

It is with great sadness we announce the unexpected passing of Ron Green, in his 85th year, on June 8th, 2022, at the Windsor Retirement Residence. He is survived by his lady, Margie Ottenhoff. Ron was a loving father and will be greatly missed by his children: Rick (Karen), Melody (Lewis), Scot (Melissa), Sally (Tony) and John (Melinda). He was predeceased by his parents Sylvia and Ernest Green, daughter Amanda, his beloved Shirley Hunt and lifelong friends Pat and Lou.  He will be forever remembered as Poppa Mickey to his grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

As an avid lover of music, Ron was a long-time member of the Kingston Grenadiers and would often been found tearing up the dancefloor at the 560 Legion. Ron enjoyed coaching his children and grandchildren in both hockey and baseball. With a passion for cars, Ron was in the automotive industry for more than 40 years until his retirement, where he enjoyed being a bus driver for Stock and often said he was an extension of the classroom. 

Visitation will be on Sunday, June 12th, 2022 from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm at the  James Reid Funeral Home on John Counter Blvd. The chapel service will follow on Monday June 13th, 2022 at 1pm.
