Obituary of Jack Dishart
Dishart, John Frederick (Jack) passed away peacefully on Saturday April 30, 2022 at his home in Smokey Hollow Estates in Brantford, Ontario. He was formerly a resident of Queensview Retirement Community, Paris, Ontario, and resided for many years in Brampton, Ontario.
Jack joined the Canadian Armed Forces and served with them for more than 28 years. After his retirement from the military, he pursued a career with De Havilland Aerospace.
Jack was born on August 23, 1930 in Kingston, Ontario. Jack was predeceased by his parents, David Dishart and Sarah Dishart (Wells), his beloved wife of 61 years, Frances (Matheson),Mother-in Law Vera and Father-in-Law William Matheson, Sister Helen ( Sam) Winkie, Brother David(Anna), Brother Donald (Jeannie), Sister June (Robert) Noble, Brother Douglas, Brother Stewart, Son-in-Law Michael McAfee, Brother-in Law, John Shane, Sister-in -Law Theresa Dishart, Brother-in-Law Robert Crossman and Sister-in-Law Jan Matheson. Jack is survived by his three loving children Linda, Karen and Kim (Debbie), five grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. He also leaves behind his beloved siblings, Mary Albertson (Lorne), Elizabeth Shane, and Robert Dishart, Sister-in Law Patricia Crossman and Brother-in-Law Thomas Matheson as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Heartfelt thanks to the personal support workers of Bayshore for all the assistance, care and friendship they provided to Jack and his family over the past years.
The family will receive family and friends at the James Reid Funeral Home at 1900 John Counter Blvd in Kingston, Ontario at 1:00 p.m. on Friday May 27, 2022.
