Louise Bacon

Obituary of Louise Ann Bacon

BACON, Louise (nee Lane)

Louise passed away at Kingston General Hospital on Saturday, April 23, 2022 with her husband of 51 years, Rodger, by her side. Nanny was a lady who loved cooking, crafts and spending time with family and friends, especially summers at the cottage.  Life has been very difficult in the past seven years, but she never gave up; she fought hard to the very end.

Louise will be sadly missed by her husband Rodger, daughters Donna (Scott) Aikman and Angela (Tom) Pineiro.  Proud Nanny of Hannah and Curtis Aikman.  Survived by brother Art Lane.  Predeceased by her parents Eleanor and Gordon Lane, sisters Donna Lane, Joanne (Dale) McFarlane and Mary Kimberly.  Lovingly remembered by Diane (Jim) Watts, Debbie (Mahmoud) Bacon, Ross (Ann) Bacon, as well by many nieces and nephews.

We would like to thank the PSW's from St. Elizabeth for the wonderful care they gave to Louise over the past seven years.  Also, to the PCA's, Nurses and Doctors of Kidd 3 for the caring and compassion they provided to Louise over the past week.  The kindness you showed to her and to all of us will never be forgotten.

In accordance with Louise's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel of the James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Boulevard, on Monday, May 2 at 11:30 am.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:30 a.m until 11:20 a.m, and during a reception in the James Reid Reception Centre following the service.  For those unable to attend in person, the funeral service will be livestreamed.  Please CLICK HERE  to register. As expressions of sympathy, donations in Louise's memory may be made to the MS Society, Diabetes Canada, or a charity of your choice.

Due to family health concerns, the family kindly requests that you only attend in person provided you honour their wish by wearing a mask while in the funeral home.
