Obituary of Mary Herrlitz

It is with heartbreaking sadness that we share the sudden but peaceful passing of Mary Herrlitz, 73, of Demorestville, Ontario, on April 2nd in Kingston, Ontario.

Mary was born in Agua Dalte, Portugal to James and Hilda Lema on June 2nd 1948.  Mary grew up in beautiful Bermuda with her brothers Gilbert and George. When she was a teenager, her family moved to Canada where she met her soon to be husband Manfred. Together they started their family and eventually planted their roots in Streetsville, Ontario where they started their hairstylist business.  In 2006 they retired and went on to live at their cottage in Prince Edward County which Mary called her “little piece of heaven”.

She will be missed most for being the life of the party, her tough love and for being everyone’s “other mother”.

Mary will be lovingly remembered by her husband Manfred of 54 years, her devoted children Robert (Kim) Jeanette (James) Allison (Jeff), Leigh and her adoring Grandchildren Tyler, Jake, Cole, Josh, Luke, Logan and Jenna. Forever missed by her Brothers, Gilbert (Natalie) and George (Mona) as well as her many Nephews, Nieces, Cousins and Friends. May she Rest In Peace with her parents, Cousin Joe and other loved ones that have passed.

We will fulfill Mary’s wishes with a Celebration of Life which will be announced at a later date.
