Obituary of Philip Herman Wood

WOOD, Philip Herman

Born on March 8, 1952, Phil passed away peacefully with his wife at his side on March 7, 2022 at Brockville General Hospital after a tough but brave battle with Glioblastoma.

Survived by his wife and best friend of 20 years Jennifer Cassidy.  Proud father of Melissa Wood, and Harvey Wood (grandson Eddy). Loving brother to Susannah (Keith) Loverock, Madeline Wood (Neil Hughes) and Beulah (Tom) Rickard. Predeceased by his parents Clarence and Erma (Lasher) Wood, Sydenham Ontario, his infant brother Peter and his brother-in-law Sean Cassidy. Missed greatly by Russell and Marlene Cassidy, his nieces, nephews and cousins, the Lasher, Wood and Cassidy families.

Phil proudly served 30 years with the Ontario Provincial Police retiring as a S/Sgt in March 2004. He will be missed by his former colleagues, his hockey buddies and his golf mates.

Special thanks to Dr Andrea Fung, Bayshore Home Care Solutions, and Brockville General Hospital Palliative Care for treating Phil with dignity, professionalism and compassion.
