Obituary of Raymond Joseph Martin
Martin; Raymond Joseph – With saddened hearts, the family of Raymond is saying goodbye to their devoted husband, father, step-father, grandfather and friend. Raymond passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at the age of 92. He is the cherished husband to Eunice (nee Kenny); their 42nd anniversary is on March 28th. Raymond is the loving father to Stephen, Robert (Daniela Zanet), Sandra Gilmour (Jeff Wilson) and Sheryl Cifala (Phil) and step-father to Deborah Burns, Diane Neal (Barry) and Randy Kirkland. He is the devoted grandfather to Amy, Stacey, Brooke, Brent and Jacob and step-grandfather to Tanya, Heather, Shawn, Michael and Teri-Lyn. He will be remembered by his many great-grandchildren. Raymond was the pillar of strength and determination of his family and his leadership will be missed tremendously. He was an avid golfer and spend many of his days among friends and family playing the game he loved. Raymond was a dedicated employee at Dupont for over 30 years until his retirement in 1991.
The family would like to invite you to a visitation at James Reid Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 6:00 – 8:00 pm. There will be a Liturgy of the Word in the Chapel on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at 1:00 pm followed by an inurnment at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. All are welcome to attend, however masks must be worn at all times, including in the Cemetery.
