Obituary of Jim Beyette

Charles James Beyette

1934-2022

We are sad to announce that Charles James “Jim” Beyette passed away at Kingston General Hospital on March 5, 2022, at the age of 88.  Jim was born January 19, 1934 and grew up in Deseronto. He met the love of his life Mary Rendell in high school and they married in 1956. They settled in Kingston in the late 1960s. Jim was a loving husband and best friend to Mary, a wonderful and loving father to Susan (Ted Barton) and Marie, loving grandfather to Caitlin (Andrew Gagnon), Sarah and Matthew and great-grandfather to James and Peter. He will be deeply missed by his wife, daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, his brother Jack McNamara (Sandy), his many nieces and nephews, and all who met him. Jim was a kind and good-natured man who was always willing to help, quick with a smile and a joke, and had a wonderful way of finding the humour in any situation. He touched many lives. A private family service was held with Father Brennan at James Reid Funeral Home on March 10, 2022.  Donations may be made in memory of Jim to Muscular Dystrophy Canada or to Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Kingston.
