Rogers, Edward “Ted”

January 14, 1942 – February 16, 2022

Edward “Ted” Rogers 80, of Kingston Ontario, peacefully after a brief illness, slipped away at home on February 16, 2022. Edward was born on January 14, 1942 to Edward and Hilda Rogers in Thornaby-on-Tees, England.

Predeceased by his wife, Carole Ena Rogers (July 1, 2021). Ted is survived by his brother Terry Little and sister Maureen Hetherington (Barry) in England. Daughter Catherine Ilyes (Frank). Grandchildren Meghan Teeple (Charles), Thomas Rogers, Amanda, Jessica, Ashley and Andrew Ilyes. Great-Grandchildren Elveena, Owen and Amara. He will be dearly missed by his extended family and friends, both in England and Canada.

Cremation has already taken place as per Ted’s wishes. A Celebration of Life, followed by a small reception will take place on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 1:00pm at RCAFA, 416 Wing, 200 Hampton Gray Gate, Kingston, ON. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kingston Public Library or the Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund would be appreciated by Ted’s family.
