Stan is now with his wife Marion. They were married just short of 70 years. He is predeceased by his wife Marion, son Gary, son-in-law Rob and his brother Donald.
He leaves behind his son David and his wife Jill, daughter Sharon and daughter-in-law Janice. His grandchildren, who he was so proud of, Jennifer, Michael, Kristen, Stephen, Kaitlyn, James and Jackie. The great-grandchildren who brought a twinkle to his eye, Avery, Rowan, Charlie, Chloe, Ava and Lily. He also leaves his two sisters Ruth and Frances.
Stan was born in Markdale, Ontario where he was raised on his parent’s farm. He graduated public and high school top of his class earning him awards and a write up in the Markdale Standard. He also graduated with honors in chemical engineering from the University of Toronto.
Stan and Marion married in 1951 and moved to Kingston, Ontario where Stan started to work for E.I. Dupont. Stan built their first home on Redden Street in the evenings and on weekends while working and raising three children. They moved to Toronto, Montreal and then back to Kingston in 1974 where they lived until Marion’s death in 2021.
In retirement, Stan and Marion enjoyed extensive travel around the world for many years. Stan also enjoyed photography and curling.
There will not be a service at this time, instead, there will be a graveside memorial at a later date, in Markdale. Donations in Stan’s memory may be made to U.H.K.F. (Kingston General Hospital) or The Bruce Trail Conservancy
