It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marta Dawn Amo, at Kingston Health Sciences Centre-KGH on January 28, 2022. Marta leaves behind her spouse, Steve Tebworth, her two daughters, Dawn (Matt Rioux) of Kaladar, and Becky (Dave Baird) of Kingston. Loving “Nanny” to, Ewan Gough, Georgia-Dawn Bedard, Austin Esford, Shyanne Esford, Kolbi Baird, Dannika Baird. Predeceased by her parents Albert and Mabel Martyn. Survived by her sister Gayle (Dave Lattimore) of Ottawa and adored by her niece and nephew, Michelle (Martin McKay) of Ottawa and Tim Lattimore (Stefanie) of Vancouver, British Columbia.

Visitation will be held at the James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Blvd, on Tuesday, February 1, between the hours of 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The funeral service will be held in the Chapel of the funeral home on Wednesday, February 2 at 11:00 am, with a private graveside service to follow at Cataraqui Cemetery.

Due to Covid restrictions, those attending the visitation or service must RSVP by calling the funeral home between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm.  Proof of vaccination must be provided at the door with the Enhanced QR code and government ID.  Masks must be worn and physical distancing will be encouraged.

The family would like to thank the Doctors and Nursing staff on Kidd 2 ICU for all their hard work, care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kingston Humane Society or U.H.K.F (Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario) in Marta’s name would be kindly appreciated.
