E. Duane Martin

 

At the Belleville General Hospital on January 20th, 2022.  Duane Martin of Kingston in his 96th year. Predeceased by his dear, loving wife Erma (Swan) of 66 years in 2018.  Son of the late Bruce and Anna Martin (Mulholland) of RR 1, Corbyville.  Father of Gail Kenney (Donald) of Orillia, Lois Martin of Mississauga, Dr. Lynn Simpson (D. Lynn) of Briarcliff Manor, New York, Joan Bruinsma (John) of Plainfield, Carol Strickland (Reverend Tim) of Hamilton and Sharon Forbes (Richard) of Markham.  Also survived by 16 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.  His life work was farming and after he retired he enjoyed ice skating, roller skating and inline skating with senior groups in various Kingston locations, for many years.

 

Duane’s family will receive friends at the James Reid Funeral Home on Saturday, January 29th from 1:00 pm until time of funeral service 2:00 pm.  Reverend Job van Hartingsveldt officiating. Due to reduced capacity all guests must RSVP to the funeral home at 613-544-3411, daily 9 -5, to register attendance for the visitation and service and show their QR Enhanced Vaccine Certificate and photo ID when they arrive. An interment service will be held at Victoria Cemetery, Plainfield Ontario in the spring.
