Sincere gratitude to ALL the staff at Extendicare Kingston for the exceptional care and support they provided for Dad.
Dad loved playing sports and in his later years watching all sports, especially baseball (Blue Jays fan), golf and college football. Dad was very fond of watching his favourite TV show Heartland and the heartwarming Hallmark movies at Christmas. Dad was a member of the Oshawa and Kingston Legions for over 20 years.
A grave side service will be held on Saturday, June 25 at 11 am in Thornton Cemetery (1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa). Following the service a Celebration of Life will be held in the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 637 (1251 Simcoe St N, Oshawa) between 1 and 3:30 pm. Drop by for karaoke, food and beverages. Sing a song for Holland!
In lieu of flowers a donation to Jays Care Foundation or a local charity supporting youth sports would best honour Dad. He always wanted kids to have an equal opportunity to participate in sports.
