Obituary of Elizabeth Luella McLean

Elizabeth "Betty" McLean was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world peacefully on January 3rd, 2022 on her 75th birthday.

She was born to Kay and Gordon Lyons on January 3rd, 1947, and survived by her husband John, daughter Tara (Joe), and son Sean (Dorothy) and 7 grandchildren; Kelsea, Denise, Kathryn, Aleesha, Sommer, Kenneth, Ashley and 3 great grandchildren; Skylar, Elliot, Greyson.

Betty loved spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for her family. Every Sunday was reserved for family and she took great pride in seeing us all fed, often apologizing if something was just a slightly bit off.

Her love spread throughout the junior bowling community in her 40 years of involvement.  Most called her Mom, and later Gramma.  Betty was the one who kept most of us in line, watching and cheering as our kids took over.

A visitation will take place at James Reid Funeral Home on Friday, January 7th from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and 7:00 - 9:00 pm. Proof of double vaccination and ID will be required to enter. Masks must be worn and social distancing will be adhered to. In an abundance of caution please refrain from hugging and handshaking and share your verbal condolences instead. In lieu of flowers, please donate to research into rheumatoid arthritis on her behalf.
