Obituary of John Roland Naysmith
Naysmith; John Roland – Passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 6, 2021 at Kingston Health Sciences Centre in his 52nd year. He leaves behind his beloved wife Tracey (nee Hulme) and 4 sons; Scott Naysmith (Miranda McArthur), Shaun Naysmith (Baylee White), Jordan Hulme and Noah Beauvais (Miranda Neal). He is the Bumpa of Rohklin and Willow whom he loved and cherished immensely. John will be missed by his mother Paulette and brother Tim Naysmith (Alison). He was predeceased by his father John Naysmith Sr., his parents-in-law Fred and Heather Hulme and his brother Scott in infancy. John's passing has left a hole in the hearts of all the “Hulme Girls” and their spouses, numerous nieces and nephews on both sides of the family as well as other members of their large extended family.
Because of his outgoing, kind hearted nature John had many, many friends. From his "Wing-night" buddies with brother in law Jim, his "Cottage Chums" with brother in law Jeff, all the great times with his Goodyear family and everyone lucky enough to have made his acquaintance, many fond memories have been made. None however had the impact on John as his life long best friend David Hagerman (Tammy). Dave and John met as children and formed a bond that withstood time and distance. Such a bond that John's boys call him Uncle Dave and he was known as Uncle John to Dave and Tammy's children.
John was a talker. With his quick wit and incredible sense of humor he never let a silent moment sit between himself and the people he cared about. If there was time to be together, there was time to tell a story or crack a joke. The world will be a bit quieter now.
John started working at Goodyear in 1994 and was a valued member of his crew. He was always willing to help out and because he often worked additional shifts other crews got to know him a bit better too. Not only will his loss be felt by his immediate crew, but the rest of the Goodyear family will feel the void as well. John had a zest for life like no other and he loved fiercely. That is why everyone that met John, loved him and those that cared for him, never heard a bad word spoken about him.
