Obituary of Dominic Ruffo

Dominic RUFFO

1942 – 2021

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Dominic on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at the Kingston General Hospital.

Dominic, loving husband and soulmate of Bertha. He was predeceased by his parents Paul and Mary Ruffo and brother Brian. He is survived by his brother Patrick Ruffo, nieces Jasmine Ruffo and Christina Barter and nephew Joshua. He will be fondly remembered by his aunts, numerous cousins and many good friends.

Dominic was a retired psychologist with Correctional Services of Canada and served at numerous correctional facilities across Canada during his career. Dominic was an avid reader and a lifelong learner. He was passionate about music, sports, movies (science fiction), wines, food and enjoyed regular get togethers with like minded friends. He loved the game of chess and studied, daily, moves and strategies to improving his game. His most important accomplishment was providing our two special cats with a pampered life. A heartfelt thank you is extended to the oncology and palliative care teams at the Kingston Health Sciences Centre at KGH for the wonderful care that Dominic received.
