It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Doris Lloyd. Doris was the daughter of the late Robert John Jackson and Eva Louisa Jackson (nee Both). Predeceased by her husband Bert Curtis Lloyd and her longtime friend and companion Lazlo Ratkai. Also predeceased by two infant children, Dale Burton Lloyd and Joan Freda Lloyd. Survived by her beloved son Curtis Robert Lloyd (his wife the late Mary Jane), her grandchildren Steven (Tanya), Matthew (Jane) and Kristin; great-grandchildren Charlotte, Spencer and the late Noah Curtis Godwin Lloyd. Doris leaves behind her siblings Bessie Watt and Shirley Jackson. Predeceased by sisters Jeanne Stout, Edna Rosenplot and brothers Albert, Keith and Kenneth. Doris will be missed by sister-in-law May Thompson. Aunt Do Do will be fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews and by her dear friend Rosemary MacGillivray. A special thanks goes to Extendicare Kingston for their compassion and love they provided to Mom during her last few years and the final days of her life. God bless you all.
Doris' family will receive friends at the James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Boulevard, on Monday, October 25 between the hours of 12 noon and 1:00 pm. The family will gather privately in the Chapel for the funeral service with Rev. Christine Sloan officiating. Interment at Cataraqui Cemetery.
