Obituary of Shirley Jean Russell

RUSSELL, Shirley Jean

Unexpectedly, at Kingston Health Sciences Center-KGH on Friday, October 8, 2021.  Shirley (nee Amey), in her 85th year, beloved wife of 57 years to Art Russell.  Loving mother of Richard (Dawn) of Gananoque and Eric (Serra) of Kingston.  Affectionately known as "Grandmom" to Sarah, Emily, Jessica, Grace, Nathan and Addison.  Survived by her sister Doris McGreer of Mississauga and brother Glen Amey of Calgary.  Predeceased by her two brothers and six sisters.  Fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends at James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Boulevard on Wednesday, October 13 between the hours of 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm.  Covid protocols shall be adhered to including the wearing of masks, physical distancing and contact tracing.  The family will gather privately at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens on Thursday, October 14 for a graveside service.  As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Parkinson Foundation, in Shirley's memory.
