Obituary of Sheila Marlene Palmer

Palmer, Sheila Marlene “Marnie”

After a long period of illness, on Tuesday October 5, 2021 at the age of 72, Marnie left us to go see her loving husband of 42 years Lloyd “Reg” Palmer again. Marnie will be joining her Father and Mother Douglas and Audrey Neill, her Father and Mother in law Lloyd and Edna Palmer. She leaves behind her sons Shane (Tanya) and Jason (Shaun) and her grandchildren Embry and Lizzy Palmer.

Marnie will be missed by her Brother Rick Neill (Ina) and her nieces and nephews.

She loved nothing more than singing, and enjoyed every moment that she was on stage with the Greater Kingston Chorus (Sweet Adelines) and we know that she is singing in an equally great chorus now. Marnie loved each and every one of her friends until the end. She was always thinking of them and now is watching over us all.

The family would like to extend our deepest thanks to the doctors and nurses of both Connell 9 and Kidd 9 at Kingston General Hospital for the care that they showed my mom during her extended stay there.

As per her final wishes, Marnie was cremated at James Reid, and a private ceremony will be held for internment of both her and Reg in the future at Cataraqui Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Colorectal Cancer Canada (https://www.colorectalcancercanada.com/) or the Canadian Cancer Society (https://cancer.ca/).
