Obituary of Barbara Joan Gilmour

GILMOUR, Barbara Joan (nee Brown)

September 26, 1930 – September 26, 2021

Barbara passed away peacefully at the Trillium Care Community, Ridge Building, on her 91st birthday with her husband by her side.  Barbara, beloved wife of 69 years to Graham.  Loving mom of Brian Gilmour and his wife Kathy and the late Barry and Larry Gilmour.  Cherished grandmother of six grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.  She will be sadly missed by her dear brother Ronald Brown (the late Valerie) and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.  Barbara was predeceased by her parents William and Georgia Brown and sisters Doreen Greenlees and Shirley Cantalini. 

A heartfelt thank you is extended to the staff of Trillium Care Community, Ridge Building for the wonderful and compassionate care of Barbara.

Family and friends will be received at the James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Blvd., Kingston on Friday, October 1, 2021, from 3-5  and 7-9 pm.  A service and celebration of life will be held at a later date. 

For those who wish donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada in Barbara’s memory.
